Law vs Jesus

Tēnā Koutou

There are many things that bring me grief in my life. When I look back there are lots of decisions and moments and failures that cause me grief. The law of Moses tells me that I have been measured and found to be not enough. It tells me that my grief should not be my past, but my present and my future. But Jesus came and said I am the way. I am the truth. I am the life. That is and was and will be enough for me, and it will be enough for you my friends.

After saving the woman caught in adultery the first thing he said was this... “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

This was the first thing he said after talking to the woman that had been shamed. Jesus knows that no-one wants to be in darkness, but he also knows that he is the answer. He is the light, and you can be free from your darkness. Guys we have to tell the world!!! We have to tell them today that they don’t have to live in darkness, but we can’t tell them that if we are living in the grief of our past and present. Go and be free from your sin, be free from its clutches, carry that shame no more, it is not yours to carry. Be free, be free, be free, be free, be free, be free.

The gospel is lived and breathed, it is thoroughly experiential. Experience the truth of the redeeming power of his forgiveness today.
