whaanau

Kia ora e te whanau,

We've been working through our 'core values' over the last couple of months.

They are...in my words:

Te Rongopai-
The good news...mission together. Us taking Jesus with us wherever we go. Us making other people's lives better because of Jesus with us.

Whenua-
We are passionate and committed to pursuing a true understanding and outworking of biculturalism in Te Rautini AND in Aotearoa.

Wairua-
We absolutely believe that Wairua Tapu, Holy Spirit, is alive and well. We believe he moves in, through and around us. We can know FREEDOOOOOOOM because of what Wairua Tapu can do in us!

Whanau-
Family, authentic relationships. This is a two part value.
1. Being whanau with each other...being committed to working through the hard and uncomfortable stuff, so that we come out more loved and more loving.
2. Being brought into God's whanau...we are adopted in...we are children of God. Our connection with God can be real, mind blowing and reciprocal. Galatians 4:6-7 'Because you are children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying "Abba! Father!" So you are no longer a slave, but a child, and if a child, then an heir through God.' God doesn't leave us feeling disconnected when he adopts us...he pours Wairua Tapu into our hearts to enable us to have the experience of being embraced into the whanau. As a result...we are able to embrace others into the whanau too!

I love living my life with you guys. I love that I don't have to fake everything being awesome when it's not. I love that we get to celebrate together, and cry together! Thank you for being generous with your time and with your love!

X Jo
